Turkey Farm Handler

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our turkey farm team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for animal health, nutrition, and care of the turkeys, as well as cleaning and maintaining the barn and equipment.

  • BS Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering

  • Strong project and staff management skills, managing multi-disciplinary projects on time and within budget.

  • Strong analytical skills and sound technical judgment.

  • Ability to teach and coach others

  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills needed to interact with all areas of business and customers.

Qualifications

  • Use CAD or Solidworks  software to determine tooling, equipment and part design requirements

  • Program and install Programmable Logic Controllers for secondary machine 

  • operations

  • Responsible for design, write, and publish reports and perform data analysis for the design team related to: Business unit financial forecasts and measurements – materials costs, labor cost, revenue, profit, labor utilization, etc.

  • Project pricing

  • Customer satisfaction surveys

  • Project forecasts and metrics

  • Works one-on-one with design team members (Program Managers, Functional Managers, etc) to review metrics and recommend appropriate corrective action.

  • Analyzes complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet end user requirements.

  • Configures system settings and options; plans and executes testing; creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements.

  • Investigates new data collection and software development technologies for implementation/development.

  • Trains user personnel in tools.

  • Coordinates system upgrade activity and assists in modifying and maintaining software and reports.
